Children’s Oncology Group Young Investigator (COG-YI) Program

Aim

To foster the involvement of junior COG member pathologists in Children’s Oncology Group (COG) and facilitate their general professional development by pairing them with a senior COG member pathologist in a mentor-mentee relationship for three years.

Eligibility

Applicants must be faculty practicing pathology at a COG member institution. Generally applicants are faculty members who are within 5 to 10 years of completing graduate medical education and Assistant Professors, although Associate Professors and are also welcome to apply. Fellows are not permitted to apply.

Application Instructions

A complete application includes:

  1. COG YI application available on the COG website (https://www.childrensoncologygroup.org/)
    The application should contain a 1 page proposal for a project to be completed with the mentor that includes specific aims, background/ significance, preliminary data (if available) and research design and methods. It is recommended that the applicant identity potential mentors to work with.
  2. Applicant's updated CV
  3. Letter of support from the applicant’s Chairperson or appropriate institutional representative
